Engineer boots have nowhere near as high a heel as do fashionable women's shoes. They also have a nice thick sole and are constructed (usually) of real leather. I've always been annoyed that they don't make engineer boots in sizes small enough for my feet. (which would be ~5 in men's sizes) L S Chabot ...decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-amber!chabot
