There is an episode of *The Benny Hill Show* on which a woman who has been gang-raped (by a group of Indians) is discovered by the local sheriff who, beginning to undo his pants, laughingly tells her that 'This just isn't your day' (CUE LAFF-TRAK; CUT TO NEXT SKIT)!!! I have tried to bring this to the attention of the local papers (*The Columbus Dispatch* and *The Columbus Citizen-Journal*). The local station responsible (WTVN) denies that such a skit exists, and has impuned my mental competency. If they intend to stick by this claim, I suspect that they will pre-screen all of their episodes and cease to air the rape skit. PLEASE, if you have a VCR and live in an area where *The Benny Hill Show* is shown, BEGIN TAPING IT, AND CHECK EACH EPISODE FOR THIS SKIT!!! PLEASE SEND ME A COPY OF THE RELEVANT TAPE (VHS preferred; I will return it and refund your shipping costs)!!! You can computer-mail to me at cbosgd!dlm (NOT ratex!mck); my USPS address is Daniel Kian Mc Kiernan 9120 Hawthorn Pt Westerville, OH 43081-9605; my phone number is (614) 891-6604. If you chose to act on this matter in your community, please adopt and advocate non-coercive counter-measures (letters, pickets, boycotts); Forced censorship is no less than an attempt to regulate the thoughts of others. The idea that TV ultimately belongs to the public is extremely questionable, especially in light of the fact that most communities have more TV stations than newspapers. TNX, Daniel Kian Mc Kiernan

Hi. I'd appreciate it if those of you taping as per my request in my previous entry would drop me a note (at cbosgd!dlm, NOT ratex!mck). For those of you who missed my earlier posting, the salient facts follow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is a skit on *The Benny Hill Show* in which a sherrif discovers a woman who is tied to a post and dishevelled; she explains that she has been attacked by a group of Indians. The sherrif laughingly tells her that 'this just isn't your day', and begins to undo his pants. At this point the laugh-track is cued, and they cut to the next skit. I wrote to the local papers to denounce this horror, but the station denies the existence of said skit, and I failed to tape it before making my accusation. I beg those of you who can to tape and monitor *The Benny Hill Show*. If and when you get a tape of the relevant skit, let me know, and we'll arrange some way for me to get a copy. TNX, Daniel Kian Mc Kiernan
