According to the 1985 World Almanac page 784 under the heading Leading Causes of Death, by Sex and Race (1981) the ratio was 3.88 to 1 the other way. The actual title was Homicide and Legal Intervention, but I would assume that homicide would be the predominant portion. By the way the Black to White ratio was 5.89 to 1.
