	I generally don't like the straight "person" for "man" substitution,
though I will use it rather than leave myself out of the list of potential
candidates.

	All occupation titles can easily be rephrased (naturally, I think)
without the *man nomenclature.

	journeyman = day laborer (in some cases), reliable worker (2nd def.)
	manpower = "staff" often works quite nicely

	...just consult your dictionary or Thesaurus if you're stuck with
an inadequate internal lexicon!

	...but what do we call "snow in the shape of a human figure"???

It depends.  If it's clearly male, which few are even though they're
assumed to be, or clearly female than snow man or snow woman should do.
Maybe "snow child"?  That'll work unless it has grey hair.
