Well, I got someone's attention alright....

In article <331@ihlpa.UUCP>, zubbie@ihlpa.UUCP (Jeanette Zobjeck) writes:

I don't argue that words propagate through usage. I argue that they are *not*
inherently malavolent. Context, usage, and intent must be considered.

It is not an attitude, it's an analysis. I don't feel this, but rapists do.
If this were not true, attackers would have no motivation to rape.

Clearly shot from the hip.

Once again, shot fron the hip. The individuals they throw in jail for violent
crimes tend to be *more* threatening than the typical `man'-in-the-street.
But that wasn't the point of my analogy.

Submitting to having your Rolex and credit cards taken as opposed to having a
dinner-plate-sized hole blown through you is also appropriate. Time heals all
[psychic] wounds, perhaps, but Death is forever. I like living, myself.

I received no mail regarding this posting. Most likely Jeanette likes to
flame men, and I, most humble, am her current target. Too bad - I like good
*logical* arguments. I even admit when I'm wrong - when convinced of it.
Ms. Zobjeck hasn't convinced me, however. Not this time.
