Recently I posted a followup to an article in the 'women and toilet paper' discussion. Due to my failure to pay attention to what newsgroups the article was going to, a messege with some VERY inappropiate language got posted to net.women. My article was intended for net.flame, and net.flame only. I would never post such language to net.women. Due to my oversight, many people were offended by my posting and I have been repeatedly flamed. I'm sorry, it was an accident. -- edward {ucbvax, unmvax, boulder, research}!anlams! -| () {mcvax!qtlon,vax135,mddc}!qusavx! -|--> ukma!edward | | |-- {decvax,ihnp4,mhuxt,seismo}! -+-> cbosgd! -| /|--- {clyde,osu-eddie,ulysses}! ---| | \ _ \___/ \= "Well, what's on the television then?" I didn't read the article your refering to. But my natural response is, if it's good (bad?) enough for one newsgroup it sholud be the same for all. Why do so many people on the net feel it's OK to offend others only in designated areas of the net? Either you can offend people everywhere or you shouldn't do it anywhere. Netiquette is unknown on that one. If you ever want a good laugh, though, you ought to read it. Just don't post unless you enjoy being degraded. ---- Colin Rafferty { Math Department, Carnegie-Mellon University } "I suspect that CMU would deny ever knowing me, let alone sharing my views."
