A conference titled WOMEN AND TECHNOLOGY:  CHANGES IN THE WORKPLACE

is going to be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 1985 in Portland, Oregon.

This one-day conference will be held at the University of Portland.

Registration fee is $40.

Conference keynote speaker is Dr. Sally Hacker, Oregon State University
speaking on "Women and Technology:  Active Participation in Social Change".

Lunch presentation: Dr. Corlann Gee Bush, University of Idaho at Moscow

Both are leading researcher, writers, and speakers in this field.

Workshop sessions include:
     Identifying Technological Anxiety
     Career Options:  Management or Specialization
     Effects of Technology on Employment
     Managing Technological Anxiety
     Job Skills Development for Technological Fields
     Automating the Office
     Starting your own Technology-Based Business
     Demystifying Technological Terminology
     

This community-based efforts is being spearheaded by a group of
nine Portland women.  Ten local corporations have contributed to
funding this event (ESI, Tek, Timberline, First Interstate, US National,
Standard Insurance, Evaluation Research, Pacific Northwest Bell,
Portland General Electric).
