A conference titled WOMEN AND TECHNOLOGY: CHANGES IN THE WORKPLACE is going to be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 1985 in Portland, Oregon. This one-day conference will be held at the University of Portland. Registration fee is $40. Conference keynote speaker is Dr. Sally Hacker, Oregon State University speaking on "Women and Technology: Active Participation in Social Change". Lunch presentation: Dr. Corlann Gee Bush, University of Idaho at Moscow Both are leading researcher, writers, and speakers in this field. Workshop sessions include: Identifying Technological Anxiety Career Options: Management or Specialization Effects of Technology on Employment Managing Technological Anxiety Job Skills Development for Technological Fields Automating the Office Starting your own Technology-Based Business Demystifying Technological Terminology This community-based efforts is being spearheaded by a group of nine Portland women.
