The SSA returns the certificate in about 2 weeks. > Bernie Dougan When I changed my name 3 years ago, I TOOK MY CERTIFICATE INTO THE SS OFFICE. I recommend that method over mailing it to them. You can then pick it up at the same office. I don't trust the mails with the original of such an important document.
