I think women should get back by "dressing down" and looking more grungy.
After all, men are too lazy and too stubborn to dress up and it's not fair
to women if they provide all the "scenery" but don't get any back. I am all
for grungy looking men *and* women.

I agree. It never ceases to amaze me that some women will voluntarily
wear high heels when they do not have to. If ever there was an example
of the triumph of stupid fashion over comfort and health, the spiked heel
is it. Come on, women. Stop dressing for us men, and start dressing for
your own comfort.
Now if we men could only get rid of those god-damn neckties.

Re: Grungy Men and Women________________________________________________________

I am grateful that I work in an environment where I don't have to wear
some kind of absurd costume. Right now I'm wearing a t-shirt that says "If I
can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution! --Emma Goldman;" a
ripped pair of gym shorts, and no shoes. (When I wander from my cubicle, I do
put on a pair of flip-flops.) You might say it's casual; what matters to me is
that it's comfortable. I'd be even more comfortable if DEC allowed nudity :-).
This is just my own taste, but I don't have a high opinion of what is
called "good clothing:" Men are expected to wear little nooses around their
necks, and the attire that women are expected to wear seems to be designed to
restrain their movement and mutilate their bodies. I don't find anything at-
tractive about discomfort.
We have grungily-dressed people of both sexes where I work. I suppose
sightseers might find this disappointing, but we are after all here to work!
