[net.women] The Dworkin Referendum

dnc@dartvax.UUCP (David Crespo) (09/30/85)

speqking of porn and rape, how do netters feel aobout the upcoming
Dworkin-?? referendum coming up in cambridge. ? I am going to
probably try and type an intersesting pro-con artiicle in
this (OCT>) month's SOJOURNER on it (if I can slot the time in
a reasonable time) but all of you experts must surely be aware of
what is going down or coming up. (as it were) . The list of people involved
heralds some of the most influential names in feminism,
but I'll get to that when I type the article (which is
long, so bear with me). The issue ist seems is hitting
the streets much sooner han than you think. And what the
article does manage to do is point out some of angles
(sociological and other) that most of us are too timid or
inarticulate to present. The relationshi[p of this to
broader issues, and inner conflicts within zee moovement, is
 very interesting indeed...be forewarned

Is this an alien language? Or am I too new to recognize net.slang?

excuse me, but the article, not my own, is FROM
Sojourner, i.e. excerpted, and so the only objection is
copywright infringement, and as far as that is concerned
....well there are ladies present, and I'm trying to
be a gentleman this week...soo..
(and "trying to be a gentleman" is not a euphemism for
taking hormones...)
(and I doubt Soujourner's editors or readers
would approve of anything I write or think,
but I like what they write and presumably think, sooo...)

     article forthcoming.
