In the Bible, indeed not; in fact one of the characteristics which made Jesus spectacularly different from his contemporaries, and unpopular to the point of being executed after a kangaroo trial, was that he hung around with women and spoke to them as equals, in a society in which women rated with dogs, slaves and foreigners.
