This brings back memories of the days when I used to work as a "Key Puncher"
temp. Most of my co-workers and supervisers were women (and most got paid
more than I did :-)) I had been a dancer before that and had a fairly nice
"bod" according to them. What a bunch of flirts :-) (I loved it).

I was the only guy in my high school to ever take shorthand, and was in a
classroom with 40 women. We got along quite well (I loved it, too!), but
one day during a slack time for hands to rest an affirmative action discussion
was started. The women all chimed in their support until the instructor said
quietly, "Have any of you considered that, even if his skills are not as good
as yours, Curtis may be hired over you for a summer job this summer because
he is a 'minority' in the secretarial field?" The room got strangely quiet....

Actually, I think that affirmative action was wonderful -- there were too many
assholes out there who needed to be forced to hire minorities (and women in
a lot of fields were definitely minorities); but I applaud its phasing out
at this stage of the game.

Flame me via *mail* if you don't like that last statement; I promise to
summarize (scatter) my ashes on the net after I'm dead!

Are high school girls being called "women" now?
