Who is to say that *when* computers become intelligent (or are given intelligence), that they will necessarily be against "doing the dirty work". I can envision a situation in which a perfectly intelligent life form can get kicks from doing what we humands consider to be boring work. I don't think that we want to *create* a life form with all the mental advantages and disadvantages of human beings, if we aren't able to give it identical physical capabilities. It is an interesting thought to consider creating a raft of intelligent machines that are impossible to work with because of all of the animosity that they (the machines) harbor against us for being able to make love and eat ice cream.
