Prem says he is not concerned about proving the existence or nonexistence of consciousness other than his own. In the inital argument, he had two conclusions. One, that the above were impossible, and two, that machines could not be produced that have consciousness. So, he is at least concerned to show the impossibility of proving. But most of the argument here has been against the claim that machines with consciousness cannot be contructed. He has produced little argument in favor of this claim. This is what people are complaining about, even after a careful reading of his original submission
