Hello folks, some of us are reading these articles over the USENET. There is a problem. The news software is broken. If you start your articles with a blank line, we lose half of them. Thus the discussion is pretty weird by the time I get to read it! There are known fixes for the problem, but there is no way to force the sites between you and me to install the fixes. So if you folk would not start messages with a blank line, or perhaps if sri-unix tacked on a non-blank line for every message we could figure out what the "parellel consciousness" discussions really are about. I am told that if you start your line with a space or a tab the same problem will occur. I haven't checked this yet, but I believe it, given that people who indent their paragraphs seem to be hit more often with this problem that those of us who *don't*. And if this article is truncated, I don't know what is going on! Laura Creighton utzoo!utcsstat!laura utcsrgv!utcsstat!laura@UW_BEAVER
