As a half-serious/half humorous suggestion:
consider the fact that most of man's machines are built to do the same
thing over and over and do it very well. Some random examples:
- washing machine
- automobile hood fastner in production line
- pacman video game
AI programs (hopefully) don't fit the mold, they don't spend their lives
performing the same routine but change as they go.
