AISB85: Artificial Intelligence and its Applications, will take place at the
University of Warwick on April 10-12 1985.  The technical programme (details
of which will be available from late January) will run as two parallel
sessions and consist of refereed papers in many areas of AI, including the
following:

Expert Systems    	 Formal Reasoning          Vision
Cognitive Modelling   	 Natural Language

There will also be invited lectures from:

Dr. Geoff Hinton (CMU): Computation in massively parallel networks.
Prof. Aaron Sloman (Sussex): Did Searle attack strong strong or weak strong AI?
Dr. John Taylor (Hewlett-Packard Labs): Title to be announced.

There will be a concurrent industrial exhibition on the first two days.

The registration fee is 70 pounds (95 pounds for non AISB members) for
registrations received before March 1 and 90 pounds (115 pounds for non
AISB members) thereafter.  A limit on the total number of registrations
may be imposed.  The registration fee entitles the delegate to a copy
of the proceedings, entry to all sessions and to the industrial
exhibition. Also included in the registration fee are all meals from
lunchtime on Wednesday to lunchtime on Friday except for breakfasts.  A
banquet for all delegates has been arranged for Thursday evening.

Accomodation (Bed and Breakfast) in individual student study bedrooms
is available for the nights of 10th and 11th April at a cost of 24
pounds.  A limited number of bursaries for genuine fulltime students
are available.

The University of Warwick lies on the southern outskirts of Coventry.  It is
easily reached from London (Euston) in 1 hour 15 minutes or by air to Coventry
or Birmingham.  Road access is also good via the M6 or M1/M45.  Registration
will start from 10.00am on 10/4/85 and the first session will commence at 2pm.
The conference will end around 4.30pm on 12/4/85.
