We are a group at the Dep. of Automatic Control, Lund Inst. of Tech., Sweden that works with expert systems for process control, especially adaptive control. The expert system acts as an intelligent real time supervisor of different numerical algorithms for control, identification and monitoring. The system should mimic the behaviour of experienced process operators and process engineers. Currently we have a prototype system running using OPS4. Is there anyone out there who works in this area or knows of somebody who does, so please contact us. We are also interested in general works on expert systems for real time applications and knowledge based signal processing. On request we will send more information about our project.
