<if i chew each line 40 times, is that 40 times slower than real time?> Granted that if your VAX version is half as fast as real time and you get a speedup of 36 the result is 18 times faster than real time. But what does it mean to be "half as fast as real time"? Better yet what does it mean to be "18 times faster thatn real time"? Does your answer come out before you type it in? Worse yet, why hasn't anyone balked at this argle-bargle? Put them to work on a faster-than-speed light-boat!! (ack san) Today the world! Yesterday space!
