[net.ai] Ralph Sobek's Fibonacci Benchmarks.

greek@bach.DEC (What it is?) (10/31/85)

I work in the VAX LISP development group at DEC. Just ran Sobek's
benchmark on a VAXstation II using the same software as at IJCAI.
I got a compiled time of 1.67 without declarations, .74 with declarations.
I'm not sure where he got his times.

I went back and looked at the list and the only DEC machine listed
was a Micro-Vax II, NOT a Vaxstation. What differences are there (if
any) between the machines, and would they account for the difference
in time?

As usual, HP has nothing to do with what I say here.
