I am compiling a list of tools OR languages designed for building expert systems. I'd like to know every instance of that class of tools, regardless of its availability and domain speciality. It would be nice if I can get the information about the pros & cons of each individual tool. Please reply by e-mail, (uucp)uw-beaver!tektronix!tekchips!chanl (csnet)tekchips!chanl@tektronix I will post the survey list after collecting sufficient information. Also, any pointer to relevent works will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A reasonable source for a brief description of expert system tools and
languages is 'A Guide to Expert Systems' by Donald Waterman published by
Addison-Wesley. ISBN 0-201-08313-2. It includes:
Catalog of Expert Systems pages 245-299
Bibliography of Expert Systems pages 300-335
Catalog of E.S. Tools pages 339-365
Bibliography of E.S. Tools pages 366-379
Companies engaged in E.S. work pages 380-387
The 'catalogs' include a paragraph of each system described. These
catalogs are also classified by area of application or type of expert
system tool.
