I am making some research in machine learning, specifically on classification methods. Quinlan, J. R. , developed ID3; a program written in Pascal to extract the best decision tree from a collection of source data. We have the object code but I 'd like to run some examples changing the Quinlan's criteria to choose the best tree. So, I have to modify the program. Does Anyone out there have the source code of ID3. ? Does anyone knows how to get it ? Does anyone knows how to contact Mr Quinlan ? He lives in Australia and he have worked in Baser Dept of Comp. Science and the source of the information about ID3 comes from his article released in The New South Wales Institute of Technology.
