ROBOTICS AND VISION IN PARIS
The Robotics and Vision group at INRIA is involved in a large european
project aimed at building a mobile Robot using Vision to acquire descriptions
of its environment for navigation and exploration.
This project is research oriented and we are looking for a good candidate with
strong background in Vision and interested in contributing new ideas to this
challenging project.
The candidate should have earned a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Robotics.
The position is a 3 years Research Scientist position with possibilities of
making it a permanent one.
Salary is approximately 216,000FF for 12 months including full medical coverage
for the candidate and her/his family.
The place is Rocquencourt, a wonderful town 20 minutes from downtown Paris, 5
minutes from beautiful Versailles.
The INRIA group has extensive computing facilities including SUN3's, VAX's, GOULD, and LISP machines.
Not speaking french is no problem since everybody at the lab understands and speaks english which is the official language of the project anyway.
