From: Alexander Sen Yeh <AY@MIT-XX.ARPA> I am getting started on a project which combines symbolic artificial intelligence and image enhancement techniques. Any leads on past and present attempts at doing this (or at combining symbolic a.i. with signal processing or even numerical methods in general) would be greatly appreciated. I will send a summary of replies to AILIST and VISION LIST in the future. Thanks. --Alex Yeh --electronic mail: AY@MIT-XX.ARPA --US mail: Rm. 222, 545 Technology Square, Cambridge, MA 02139

I would appreciate any information (references) on an expert system called INDUCE/PLANT. Apparantly, this system is able to deduce rules about diagnosing soybean diseases from cases. Thanks in advance. -- Roy Masrani, University of Calgary. ..!alberta!calgary!masrani

Dear fellow AIListers and PrologListers, I'm interested in obtaining the latest references you may have to articles concerned with Parallel Logic Programming languages. If you have recently written an article concerned with parallel execution of Prolog or about a committed-choice non-deterministic LP language, I'm interested to read it, or at least to receive a pointer to the article. By RECENT I mean articles which have been published in 1985 and 1986 or which are about to appear. I am interested in any and all sub-topics of the fields listed above. Thank you very much ahead of time for your response, Rusty Red (AKA Jacob Levy) BITNET: jaakov@wisdom ARPA: jaakov%wisdom.bitnet@wiscvm.ARPA CSNET: jaakov%wisdom.bitnet@csnet-relay UUCP: (if all else fails..) ..!ucbvax!jaakov%wisdom.bitnet

<<<<Lion eaters beware>>>> Nice guy, into brains would like to meet similiarly minded people. Seriously : considering some simulation of neural circuits. Would like pointers to any REAL work that is going on (PS I have read the literature). Keen to run into somebody that is interested in simulation at a low-level. Specifically: * mossy fibers/basket cells/purkyne cells * need to find out parallel fiber details: * length of * source of/destination of Any pointers or info would be appreciated.
