Also, does anybody have any information on PhD programs in Computer Science at any of the Australian universities? Australian school schedules are: Infant, grade, high schools: Start in (early) Feb. End in (mid) December. Universities: Start in March. End in (late) November. Breaks are in May for fall break and Sept for spring break. Christmas break is the long *summer* break between grade levels. PhD pgms in Com Sci: Contact the Austrailian Embassy in Wash D.C or the "Australian Consulate General" in the large cities. Some Univ to consider: Sydney, NWS; Flinders, SA; UW Melbourne, VIC; The above info provided by my wife (an Aussie) and she insisted that I add a statement to the effect that Australian schools are of a very high standard. So done. Undoubtly, now that they've *got* the America's Cup, their standards will fall as is the likely case with any group with big heads. -- Jeffrey Mattox, Heurikon Corp, Madison, WI {harpo, hao, philabs}!seismo!uwvax!heurikon!jeff (news & mail) {ihnp4, allegra}!uwvax!heurikon!jeff (mail - but slower)
