It has come to my attention, during the course of regular mail
exchange with other netters, that a great variety of University
Sites exist on the net. I there for post the following informal
poll, results to be posted if response warrents.
1) Is your site a research machine, or used for class work, or for
professor's paper work,... Ie. fisher is mainly the Statistics
Department research machine here at P.U. Little or no course work
is done on it.
2) Are the news readers at your site mainly:
profs or
grad students or
undergrads ?
3) Is your site part of a relatively large University USENET community,
aka ucb, or are you an independent machine?
4) Do undergrads, or students at all for that matter, take part in
systems programming/administration?
5) please send along any other interesting facts about your site,
including your hardware configuration, if possible.
