[net.college] undergrad CS schools...

If you are considering attending UC-Berkeley as a Computer Science
major, you have two options:

	(1)	CS major through the College of Engineering (CS is
		option "C" of the EECS major);

	(2)	CS major through the College of Letters and Sciences.

The main difference between the two is that you cannot declare the
CS major if you go the L&S route; you must maintain a 3.3 GPA (projects
may be taken into consideration) during your first two years to even
be considered for the major. Of late, a 3.5 GPA has been necessary.
The engineering school may be harder to get into, but you're in from
day one, and you stay in as long as your GPA doesn't fall below 2.0.
