CMU has NEVER required any students to buy a PC. They are working on the fabled CMU workstation, but they still haven't decided whether to force it on anyone. PC's and Macintoshes are used for class work but hundreds of them are publically available for students who don't own one. You may be thinking of Drexel, which does require incoming Freshmen to buy a Macintosh. -- Walter Smith, CS undergraduate, Carnegie-Mellon University uucp: ...!seismo!cmu-cs-k!wrs ARPA: wrs@cmu-cs-k.ARPA usps: Box 874; 5115 Margaret Morrison St.; Pittsburgh, PA 15213
