I would greatly appreciate any information concerning the SPICE
(Scientific Personal Integrated Computing Environment) project at Carnegie-
Mellon University. Please direct your replies to the following three
points:
1) What is it?
2) What is its purpose and goals?
3) How far has it progressed and what difficulties have arisen
thus far?

I have never used it, but my ex-roomate ( an electrical engineer) did. He used it to compute complex formulas for solving simultaneous equations needed for analyzing different circuit designs. That's about all I know about it. hope it was of some help... - steve robiner @ U of Rochester
