Here are the songlists from the Berkley shows several days ago along with some possible upcoming shows..... As you will see another long-stanging tradition has been broken. Last year it was the end of SCARLET-->FIRE and now China Cat--> I Know You Rider has changed to CHINA CAT --> CUMBERLAND. A friend who was there said it surprised the shit out of everyone... Saturday 3-9-85 Bertha China Cat--> Saturday Night Cumberland Blues Sugaree I Need A Miracle--> All Over Now Eyes--> Row Jimmy Drums/Space--> Let It Grow Other One--> Wheel--> Baby Blue Sugar Mag After the space Merle Saunders joined them and was really outstanding. Sunday 3-10-85 Stranger Samson Fennario Terrapin--> CC Rider Truckin'--> Bird Song Smokestack--> Hell In a Bucket Jerry Jam--> RR Blues Drums/Space Stella--> Going Down the road--> A & A --> Day Job Johnny B Goode The second night was better, as you can see the 1st sets are pretty short. Tuesday March 12 AIKO IKO Touch of Grey Rooster (w/Matt Kelly) Playin--> Dupree's Jamous Maximous--> Me & My UNcle Drums/Space--> Big River He's Gone--> West LA Throwing Stones--> Looks Like Rain NFA--> Don't Ease LOVELIGHT US Blues The jam after Playin' went on forever. All in all the show was pretty good, and there were some special moments... Last night Wednesday March 13 Jack Straw THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED--> Althea FRANKLIN'S TOWER--> Mama TRied--> Estimated--> Mexicali **Spoonful--> Friend of the Devil Drums--> **Minglewood African Music--> **Deal OUTER SPACE--> Woman Are Smarter Black Peter Brokedown Good Lovin The songs with "**" had Matt Kelly jamming on them, which was hot. All of a sudden during the drums, they stopped and the place went dark, this old black man appeared on the stage in a long flowing white robe, and started playing this funky drum (kind of like that large drum head Micky palyed a couple years ago only smaller.) He then start ed chanting something in a strange language. Another black guy played these shaker things(!!!) Micky joined the guy too. This real weird but amazing music went on for about 10 minutes, it was outragous. The Music Never stopped was so long and Jerry just jammed and jammed and jammed, Franklin's was a surprise and just as hot as TMNS...Jerry just kept jamming. This show was real hot for the most part, Jerry was really into it. Anyway, in it they have a proposed summer fall tour: June 14, 15 & 16 Greek Theatre Jn 21, 22 Alpine Valley Jn 24 Cincinnati Jn 25 Cleveland Jn 27 & 28 SARATOGA Jn 30 Jl 1& 2 Merriweather July 4 Rochester July ??
