Just a note of caution to anyone interested in the disinfection question. After a soft lens has been disinfected chemically, NEVER use heat disinfection on it again! The chemical (I assume thimerosol) remains in the plastic and causes it to rapidly break down when heat is applied. I know, as I lunched a pair this way.
