I just got some gas-permeable contact lenses called "the Boston Lens". The case it came in and the solutions both say that the device is "limited by Federal law to investigational use". When I tried to find out exactly what that meant, the receptionist told me that the labels were wrong, and that the doctor couldn't dispense them if they were investigational devices. Sure, they might be approved already, but why would the manufacturer still be putting those stickers on things that they just sent out the door? The case says: Morrison Laboratories Div. of UCO Optics, Inc. Harrisburg, PA. 17105 Has anybody heard of these things, and what their real status is?
