[net.med] Gestational period vs. body temperature

silver (03/30/83)

Another thing I read recently was the proposition that gestational
periods are shorter in women (and animals) with higher average body
temperatures. This makes sense to me for the reason that the "body
clock" is chemical, and chemical reactions proceed faster with higher
temperatures. Also, higher metabolism == higher temperature ??

Anyone know the facts or care to discuss the subject?
