[net.med] New allergy medication

kg (04/28/83)

For those who suffer from year-round sinus problems, there is a new
medication out which has worked miracles for me that I'd like to
share... I've suffered from nasal allergies for about ten years.
I've been on and off nose spray for most of the time; I've been unable to
breath though my nose without it. I also occasionally take
antihistamines at night. (I went through the typical shot treatment
but it did nothing for me.)

Two months ago my allergist prescribed a new medication, called
Nasalide, a highly diluted cortisone spray. It's so dilute that it
takes about a week or two to have affect. Well, after a week, I was
breathing freely. After two weeks, all my allergy symptoms
disappeared. I use the spray now once a day, sometimes skipping a
day. I'm now free from ten years of allergy problems. This medication
is out by several companies under the names Beconase and Valinase (I
think). I'd fully recommend it. It's currently available by
prescription only.
