[net.med] Bilateral Nasal Specific- real or hoax?

I just read an interesting article on a treatment called Bilateral Nasal
Specific. It's a treatment practiced by some chiropractic physicians, mostly
for sinus problems, migraines, and nasal constriction. The procedure consists
of inflating a finger cot (medical balloon about the size of a finger) in each
of six nasal cavities. The claim is that this produces a lateral pressure,
forcing other bones in the skull to move in domino-like effect. This supposedly
equilazes pressure and improves blood circulation.
My first question would be that can the cranial bones be moved? As a person
gets older, don't the various parts of the skull fuse?
Anyway, the leading advocate, Dr. J. Richard Stober, claims remarkable
effects when used to aid conditions such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blindness,
deafness, hyperactivity, mental retardation, Down's syndrome, etc. And he has
lots of testemonials that it helps! I consider much of this to be pretty
far-fetched, but would be interested in hearing about anyones experience and
any general comments as to how such a treatment could be useful.
