I thought of starting up a new discussion topic in this group (since I love medical topics I like to see this group real active). Is anyone interested in discussing the various medical fields, including things in biomedical engineering, MD fields, education required in each case, whether or not you find it rewarding, how hard a program was/is it. I live in a world of engineering, and I would love to hear more about the medical world and those in it.

I would really like to see some discussion of fields related to computer science and medicine. I was in the service for three years working in an Army hospital. During that time I had found a mentor that not only taught me some of the important things about medicine but, also the importance of computer science in medicine. I'm extremely interested the applications/fields available for computer science and medicine. I'm also interested in knowing what the educational requirements are. Where are the best schools?
