I have some good news to share. A doctor who had been recommended to me locally, got back from a trip he had been on and worked me into his schedule. I saw him yesterday, Friday the 5th, and the first thing he did was take some new x-rays. He said the ones which they had taken, looking for broken bones, told him nothing about my present condition. After looking at the x-rays, he called and made an appointment for me with an O.D. Specialist in Olimpia, Washington. He also had his assistant fit me with a traction type support. (looks like an old fashion corset) The doctor said that I will most likely have to wear this support for 4 or 5 months and that the doctor in Olimpia does some injection therapy which I may be able to benefit from. If we can get the specialist to recommend the treatment, he can maybe get my insurance to pay for it. (it is not generally offered) At this point, I am rather pleased with the way that the doctor conducted things yesterday. This corset is relatively comfortable and does what I had hoped. IT HOLDS ME IN PLACE. I was even able to sleep on my back last night. (with it on) So, it is well worth the $65.00 investment. (for the corset) A friend is going to let me use her station wagon, so that my brother can drive me up to Olimpia, Tuesday. I just don't understand why the other doctor didn't have me fitted with this nice comfy support in the first place. Who gives a *#%&* what the cost is. The thing was designed to do what I need it to. If they had given it to me 5 months ago, it might have saved me from being off work for so long. So, I'll get back to you after I get return from Olimpia. ~l /l /5l\ / 0l \ Annadiana Beaver / 5 l \ A Beaver@Tektronix /____l___\ ,,,,\__,,,_/,,,, "I'd rather be sailing" wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
