This is my first article in reponse to Deadheads Unite. My firist Dead show was at Watkins Glenn, N.Y. It was in 1973, although I had been into the group since 1970. There were 600,000 of us there, hoping to relive Woodstock. Also included in the show were the Allman Bros. and The Band. I dont remember much of the concert, since I had been up all night walking about 7 miles from where we left out car to the WAtkins Glenn Raceway. I was heavily sedated and was feeling very good. I do remember "Here Comes Sunshine", and the "Weather Report Suite" and "Truckin" but thats about it. Considering the number of people (the biggest concert of its time) the crowd was mellow and considerate. I chalk it up to the gentleness of hippies in general. I had a good time, I just wish I rememberd more of it. (Ah youth). Andrew Bindman
