ACUTANE is a drug which has a profound effect on severe acne. My girlfriend had a bad case (which caused her to be severely depressed much of the time). After she was started on ACUTANE, her acne completely cleared, and she has had no recurrence since discontinuing therapy. Needless to say this has had a dramatic effect on how she feels about herself.
