I think the following fact should be noted. (It is sort of a trick
question of a type that we medical students commonly ask each other.)
Q: What is the most frequent initial symptom of Coronary Heart
Disease (aka Ischemic Heart disease)?
A: Sudden death (with no prodomal symptoms whatsoever.)
(Even among those with symptomatic angina, if you stick a 24hr
recorder on them, you find 3/4 of their attacks are painless and unnoticed)
