I have a good friend who seems to have gotten herself a little problem. Yesterday she slipped on the ice and broke her fibula just where it goes into the ankle. It's in about three or four pieces now and she's got a cast from her toes to her hip which she'll wear for about 12 weeks. Now, seeing as how she's a pretty active person when able, I was wondering if anybody had any advice on how to stay active in this situation. Are there exercises one can do to keep semi-fit and feeling good? Things will improve when the snow and ice melt back in Iowa so she can get outdoors, but until then I'm concerned. All comments will be appreciated. Mike Wagner @ Xerox Information Systems Division Palo Alto, CA ARPA: Wagner.osbunorth@Xerox.COM
