Congratulations to those who did NOT get the Siggraph poster set. Yecchhhh! Out of all the dazzling images they could have chosen from the film show, art show, etc they picked the most dull, unimpressive 3 images. Way to go guys. K. Newman decvax!utzoo!utcsrgv!newman

I agree. The poster set was a total disappointment, and to think that it cost $15.00! A friend of mine fished one of them out of a trash can, took a look at it, then put it back. A MUCH better deal was the $25.00 SIGGRAPH exhibition slide set, which includes 78 slides of the "best of the best" for only $25.00. I brought them home and showed them to my wife, and she was stunned at the quality and detail. I could sit and look at them for hours. I'll probably try and arrange for them to be shown here for the rest of the Columbus folks to see. For the budget minded, the best deal was the poster for SIGGRAPH '84, which was clever, fairly well done, and free! At least it'll be good for getting those "What the hell is that there thing on your shirt, for gosh sakes?!" comments. Problem is, I'm not too sure what it is either ("Well, it's a molecule of something or other, with contours generated by rolling spheres around over it...")
