Steve, I have a requirement to produce applications graphic software in a terminal independent mode and was wondering if anyone on your info-graphics mailing list has heard of a termcap like file for the unix system - a graphcap file - if you will ? My intention is to build a library of graphic routines using siggraph core to define the graphic atoms and have the graphics terminal environment predefined in a termcap like file so that the application software could be built without the programmer (me) worrying about which terminal or terminals were available. thanks Lou Schreier p.s.
