[net.graphics] Image Processing Survey

                  SURVEY OF IMAGE PROCESSING SOFTWARE ON UNIX


               The aim of this survey is to present to the  UNIX  com-
          munity a listing of software available in the field of image
          processing, in both research oriented areas,  such  as  com-
          puter  vision,  and  in practical applications areas such as
          X-ray Radiography, NMR, Astronomy, image recognition,  medi-
          cal  and Remote Sensing applications using platforms such as
          Landsat, etc.

               All contributions to the survey will be included  in  a
          standardized  version on the net. Contributions will be ack-
          nowledged as soon as received. A standard format is included
          for  your submissions, you may add extra fields to it if you
          wish.  Please specify several path for your UUCP address  if
          possible.  I  will  produce a listing similar to Alan Watt's
          driver survey which appeared on May  16,  and  November  12,
          1983  as  soon as there is sufficient number of entries.  In
          either case all entries regardless of number will be listed.
