Job Opportunity:    Software Engineer

Tektronix' Information Display Group, located in Wilsonville, OR currently
has an opening for a Software Engineer.  This person will participate in 
the architectural design and system prototyping of a high performance graphics
terminal.  Tasks may include writing software for both microprocessors and
mini-computers.
   Applicant should be proficient in assembly language and higher level 
languages.  Experience with the operating systems on several different
computers (DEC,IBM) is desirable. MSCS or BSCS with concentration in computer
architecture and computer graphics preferred.

Job Opportunity:     Software/Hardware Engineer

Same place. Will participate in architectural design of a microprogrammable
graphic processor.  Protoype, design, and implement microcode routines 
(executive services, graphic transformations, scan conversion, pixellation
calculations, etc.).  Responsible for translation of graphic software into
microcode for that processor. May assist in specifications of ICs to be used
as microcode accelerators.
    Should be proficient in assembly language (8086,16032,68000 preferred)
and 2901/2910 bit slice microcode; computer architecture at register transfer
level; hardware architecture of microprogrammed systems, especially bit-slice
processors. Knowledge of graphics algorithms desirable.  MSCS/MSEE or BSCS/
BSEE with concentration in computer arch. and computer graphics preferred
