DOES ANYBODY USE THE GRAPHICS PRIMITIVE STREAM (GPS) ? Do any of you use GPS for graphics ? What do you use it for ? Why ? We have worked on custom software and products using GPS on Masscomp computers but know nothing about GPS on other machines. If there's anyone out there using GPS, would you mind answering a few questions ? 1. In what applications do you use GPS ? (business graphics, scientific data plotting, CAD, etc.) 2. On what type of system(s) do you use GPS ? (hardware and version of Unix) 3. What types of graphic device(s) do you use with GPS ? 4. Do you have any interesting filters for processing GPS files ? 5. Is your GPS "standard" or modified/extended ? 6. Do you know anything about the history of GPS ? 7. What are your reasons for using GPS instead of something like GKS or Core ? (it's cheap, it's free, etc.) If you don't know the answers to any of the above, but would like to, let me know and I'll post what I get. If you like any information on our GPS software, let me know, otherwise I'll see that you're not bothered. Gray Abbott Creare Inc. P.O. Box 71 Hanover, N.H. 03755 (603)643-3800 {...dartvax!creare!gda}
