We are looking for a colour-graphics package (C or Pascal) based on the
CORE graphics standard, for use in teaching our courses. The package should
contain 2D and 3D procedures, preferably including hidden surface elimination,
and shading. It should be device independent in order that a minimal number
of low level routines will interface it to a colour-graphics board.
Can anyone offer such a package or point us to a source? (Also we would
be interested in opinions on such boards.)

Dalhousie University is currently in the process of replacing and upgrading
its mainframe computing facilities. In paralell, we are seeking information 
on state-of-the-art mainframe and minicomputer graphics software packages
capable of supporting a number of peripherial graphics devices. Information
