It is rumored that a thing by this name is useful for reconstructing 3D objects from 2D slices, and that it is running somewhere under Unix: any more info? -- Joel M Miller; Smith-Kettlewell Institute of Visual Sciences 2232 Webster St; San Francisco CA 94115; 415/561-1703 dual!ptsfa!ski!jmm OR {ucbvax, dual, sun}!twg!ski!jmm

Gabor Herman has been working on the 3D reconstruction algorithm for some time now. He is at the University of Pensylvania. I don't know if he has a UNIX implementation or address. However, if he does I would like to here about it. He works closely with Dr. Oleh Tretiak at Drexel University; also in Philadelphia. I saw the 3D reconstructions from slices and it was very impressive. If you continue to have trouble getting in touch, I suggest you ask information in Philadelphia. Give them my regards. PS: We are having trouble here with return mail; perhaps something should be done at your (ski.uucp) end. ------------------- Pete Delaney - Rockey Mnt UNIX Consultant Phone: (49) 89 9269-139 European Computer-Industry Research Center UUCP: mcvax!unido!ecrcvax!pete ArabellaStrasse 17 UUCP Domain: pete@ecrcvax.UUCP D-8000 Muenchen 81, West Germany X25: (262)-45890040262 CSNET:pete%ecrcvax.UUCP@Germany.CSNET Login: <to be provided?> -- -------------------------------------------- notes - Notesfile Administration Phone: (49) 89 9269-139 European Computer-Industry Research Center UUCP: mcvax!unido!ecrcvax!notes ArabellaStrasse 17 UUCP Domain: notes@ecrcvax.UUCP D-8000 Muenchen 81, West Germany X25: (262)-45890040262 CSNET:notes%ecrcvax.UUCP@Germany.CSNET Login: <to be provided?> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
