Hello,
I have some questions about graphic boards. If you can answer
one or more, could you please mail me. I'll be very pleased.
We are looking for a high resolution graphic board for an IBM AT,
with which we are planning to build a workstation based on the PC/AT.
By high resolution I mean a display >= 800 * 1000 pixels.
Do you have any pointers to manufactures of these boards?
If you already use such a board how does it perform?
I do have some info about two boards:
-Number Nine Graphics System Board called Revolution
made by Number Nine Computer Corporation
-CSD Ultra Res Graphics System
made by CSD
These boards are made for the IBM PC. Does somebody use these boards, if so
how do they perform?
Our workstation will be used most of the time for displaying text windows.
Is the Nec 7220 a good chip when used in graphic mode for displaying
text? If not what other solutions exist?
