Perhaps someone out there could help out a novice. I have written a front-end to IDEAL which produces simple x-y plots. (Other graphics languages can't be used here for reasons which I don't want to go into). Anyways, I'm interested in drawing a dashed line which "looks good", i.e., the dashes are of equal length, even if the line is not even close to straight. This would be created by IDEAL instructions which connect points with a straight line. It seems like I would have to calculate the length that I have moved along the curve in order to do this. Sounds like a pain. IS there an easier way? If so, what. If not, is there a cheap and dirty way of doing this? (It doesn't have to be all that accurate). Mark F.
